Who I work with: Adolescents & Adults

Welcome! I’m Erin Simpson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Pittsburgh area. I specialize in working with clients who are ready to heal from developmental trauma, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and more.  In my practice, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, safety, and a little bit of humor/fun when appropriate! I also love educating on the science behind the therapeutic approaches we use, as understanding the "why" behind the work can strengthen motivation and self-empowerment. I understand that it’s never too late to make a change for the better, and I’m committed to helping you create a rich, full, and meaningful life.

I work from a flexible, evidence based, client-centered perspective, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to best meet your needs. Some of the approaches I use include EMDR, ACT, DBT, IFS, and mind/body integration.

More about me:

I enjoy attending concerts, touring national parks, and hiking in the mountains. I also love playing tennis, guitar, indulging in Thai cuisine, and staying up to date with the latest in movies, music, books, and TV shows. I believe the local library is the most important place in every city and encourage everyone to get a library card. Above all, I cherish connecting with others over these shared interests.
